The 2000 Cannondale Connecticut Mountain Bike Challenge Series back to index
The 2000 Cannondale Connecticut Mountain Bike Challenge Series is a series of six cross-country type mountain bike races held at six different venues throughout the state of Connecticut between April 16, 2000 and August 27, 2000. This is the second year for the series which has expanded this year to become the most diverse mountain bike race series in Connecticut for 2000, having races at six unique venues. The series contains 4 well-established races - Mountain City Madness; Blood Rock Bike Boogie; Mohawk Mountain Bicycle Madness; Dooley's Run; a new version of a standing favorite – Winsted Wild Ride (a continuation of the former Winsted Woods) at a new venue; - as well as the second year running of The Lime Rock 'n Roll Mountain Bike Classic, with a great venue at the Lime Rock Park racing facility in Salisbury, Connecticut. The series offers free events for children 5-11 years old, easy-to-enter races for first-time racers 12 years and older, age divisions for all women's categories, as well as 50 and older age groups in men's points categories.

How the Series Works & Series Scoring Rules and Policies back to index
- The top 10 finishers at each series race in each age group of the Junior, Beginner, Sport, Expert, Semi-Pro, and Pro divisions obtain and accumulate points throughout the series.
- The racer with the most points, according to the Series Scoring Rules and Policies, in his or her points category is the series winner in that category and age group.
- Missing an event is like not finishing in the top 10 and counted as a zero score for that race
- No scores are dropped
- NOTE: Use your age on 12/31/2000 for registration (related to the next point below)
- Points must remain in the category they were scored in
- Series race directors and race-day officials rule final on all disputes, protests, and/or exceptions
- Series races are NORBA races. NORBA licenses (one-day or otherwise) are required and all NORBA rules apply.
- Series or race update information as well as results and series point standings will be posted at each event and online at www.goodtiming.com
